Do you remember the smell of the air after a huge storm? This artwork is a representation of such a memory. When a huge storm cleans and replenishes the beach to its purely unspoiled form.
This work was originally painted in 2017, but after a trip to Namibia and specifically Swakopmund in 2019 and morning after the mist lifted, the waves and beach seemed clearer somehow. I wanted to capture this in redrawing the foreground in sharper lines and the clouds a cleaner white
